There are lots of gift shops because Barmouth gets lots of visitors and they want to take a souvenirs back. There are lots of little food shops in Barmouth they don’t have a supermarket because it does not have enough people and Barmouth is not big enough to have a big supermarket. There are lots of pubs in Barmouth some of them survive food.
